Neha: So what was the experience like at the First Earth Day?
Shelton: At the what?
Neha: First Earth Day, or like near that time.
Shelton: I think we were all very conscious of ecological things. Like how we were wasting our resources and polluting our air, and being high school and college age we felt like we could change things. And so that's how basically we approached every thing. So we were being green a long time ago before it became functional.
Neha: Oh, I was wondering if we could go a little bit towards there.
Shelton: Ok.
Neha: So, then what did you do at the teach in which you attended, or what did you do during the First Earth Day?
Shelton: I didn't do any thing.
Neha: Oh.
Shelton: I was idle.
Neha: Well,so like
Shelton: I was being very much at peace.
Neha: Oh, so, but did you see change happening outside after the event. Like after the first Earth Day.
Shelton: Well, we saw lots of, we saw lots of change because in the immediate area, that was were we were. And so we made sure that things were happening.
Neha: Oh.
Shelton: But, you know, the farther away it got and the time, you know, it kind of returned to the way it was.
Neha: Oh. Did you think that the 1970's, they sort of changed your life sort of, like they made you more ecological and...?
Shelton: Yes, at least we made people more aware.
Neha: What did you think the biggest impact of Earth Day was on you?
Shelton: It made me buy Earth Shoes.

Shelton: I did, but not a whole lot, but it helped.
Neha: And, do you think the First Earth Day affected your carrier, like made you choose being a musician?
Shelton: No that was, I was going to be a musician any ways.
